Race/ Species: Demon - 'Demonified Angel' (Essentially, he WAS an angel... However, after the fall he was turned into a demon, to 'prepare' for the 'real deal'. (IE, Lilith.) This is what happens when you pick the wrong side.)
Appearance: Currently, a large cloud of dust- not smoke, dust. As he normally spreads himself out along the room, he tends to give off the feeling of a slightly grimy house when he is present. He can however, gather himself into a slightly solid shape; when he wills it, this resembles a jaguar, but if he is injured(IE, sprayed with Holy Water; not fun for him, as he's dust, so double the damage), it takes the form of a man.
Haures has very little abilities remaining from his 'original roster' so to speak; what he can do, however, is use a small portion of his dust to take control of a single human or animal. This takes a lot of work however, and if he needs to speak, it will have to be through that human; the most he can do outside of that person is spread his dust around the room. He used to be able to set things on fire... (He tried to do it through his host when using his 'body' didn't work, but that resulted in an unfortunate loss of said host. Spontaneous combustion anyone?) He has yet to succeed in doing so again.

Personality: One of the more prideful of the 72, Haures is particulairly known for his inability to stop talking. He's more than willing to brag about his successes, his kills, his battles, even his fall(Which isn't actually that impressive, since it was basically him choosing the wrong side, and then Lucifer playing Frankenstein. Fun.).
What is not so well known however, is that, also like a fair number of the 72, he has a soft side. Some more so than him of course(Hence the 'good natured' categorization they fell into), and it doesn't help that his pride and snobbishness get in the way of that good quality, but... It's there. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have bothered teaching Kira anything.
Haures is also quite perverted; but then again, he was sealed away on his own for 2000 years, what do you expect?
History/Bio/Background: Those who read the 'Lesser Key of Solomon' will know of the form Haures once held; the form that his angelic self mutated into through the process of becoming a demon... Something he and his siblings were quite surprised by, as it actually increased their power due to the sudden disappearance of the need to take a vessel. (Something that was obviously removed from the black board when 'real' demons were created...) He, along with 71 others, are the few demons in existance with a 'solid form'... However, there was a considerably large catch to this, as it meant they were also more easily spotted, observed, etc.
Though many of his brothers(And sisters, as there are a few) were sealed 'as is', a few of the more stubborn ones were forced to take human form. Himself included. Though his flaming eyes remained intact, Haures was left within his seal to rot away, his body eventually withered to dust... And a short while after he became dust, Kira's parents would find him, and break his seal knowingly with nothing in their favor.
This situation, combined with their murders would place Haures in a deal he had not seen since before The Fall; something he did not realize he could still be subjected to as a demon. Namely, a life debt, an obligation to any sole living relatives the couple would have.
Thankfully or not, it was an infant... Which meant he could at least raise the kid with some decent views... And so he did, using what little abilities he had left to properly look after the girl. Heck- he even got used to 'slumming it'. (Though technically compared to Hell, Earth was more of a paradise... Eh.)
But when one of the largest Devil's Gate in North America was sprung open, Haures couldn't very well ignore the possible threat of others from the 72 appearing. After all, difference came with a cost- Lucifer had much more than 72 followers to start, but after they'd weeded themselves down and absorbed each others mutated grace... (Another thing torn from the black board) Well, he was proud to say he'd taken out at least an eighth of the original army!
Course now... Well, he wasn't exactly in tip-top shape now, was he?
Perhaps the idea of hiding in plain sight wouldn't be such a bad idea...
